My home studio, consist of dual soundproofed rooms (Control & Performance) designed for recording, mixing, and producing songs. It can be used for vocals, instrumentals, spoken words, and other sound projects.
Music production is the core of my creative process. Countless hours are spent composing, recording, arranging and editing my music prior to the mixing and then mastering stages. I produce professional music quality in my home studio using top of the line digital audio workstations (DAWs), plus a combination of virtual, acoustic and elctronic instruments and other tools.
As a mixing engineer, I combine different audio elements into a final version. My process includes using technical and musical skills to balance the different parts, such as volume, pan positioning, and proper use of audio plugins, to achieve a desired effect.
This is where I take a final mix and put the finishing touches on it by elevating certain sonic characteristics. This usually involves aspects like adjusting levels, applying stereo enhancement, and monitoring for clicks and pops–anything that could distract the listener from the music.
I work as a Senior Security Engineer for a fortune 500 company headquarted in San Diego, CA. While I function very well in the cyber security realm, my spare time is spent in music and studio work which is what I truly love to do. When I'm not writing songs or playing for choirs, groups and solists, I do find some spare time to dabble in game programming.
I'm married to a beautiful Georgia peach, Melisia since 1994 and have three wonderful children - Laquil (LDawg), Brittani (Jazmin) and Ian (the computer genius). In addition to being an musician, I'm an accomplished artist having attended Buffalo State College for a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) with works that were once on display at the Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY.
Fine dining, great music and exploration are my favorite pastimes.
